Subject:Hu vessel
Posted By: Moon Mon, Sep 16, 2019 IP: 2001:980:57ae:1:2db9

Dear,

I bought this vessel in an auction, and i think this is a nice replica. Otherwise i bought a museum piece :)
But i like to know are those vessels easy to buy in for example Hong Kong?
Does someone know what is the normal price for these kind of vessels?

Thanks for your help,

Moon

Hi Moon,
Your archaic style bronze is IMO a modern replica based on pictures and patina. The later has been artificially aged.
Have seen pics of supply chains selling said bronzes the sizes of a warehouse!
Still your item is appealing for what it represents.
Enjoy.
