Your triptych is by Yoshiiku and printed in 1863. The title is 悪七兵衛景清 中村芝翫 (Akushichibyōe kagekiyo nakamura shikan) which, using a translator, gives me "Evil Shichibei Kyosei Nakamura Shiba" 娘人丸 坂東しうか (usume Hitomaru Bandō Shiuka) "Daughter Maru Bando Shiuka". I hope someone can make more sense of the translation.

Cheers,
Stan

Stan, you must have mixed up with a different print. The main title in the middle print reads
優平家曲拙, and below 琴責の段 日向嶋の段

The actor in that middle print is Ichikawa Ichizo
(市川市蔵) in the role of Shoji Shigetada (庄司重忠)

The actors in the left print are Bando Shiuka (坂東しうか) in the role of daughter Hitomaru (娘人丸) and Nakamura Shikan (中村芝翫) in the role of Akushichi Byoe Kagekiyo (悪七兵衛景清)

The actors on the right print are Nakamura Shikan(中村芝翫) as Iwanaga Saemon (岩永左衛門) and Onoe Eisaburo (尾上栄三郎) as the courtesan Akoya from Osaka (遊君阿古屋 大坂下り)

manuD,

Thanks for correcting me. I was working with the site below and trying to translate it with google translate. I do the best I can with zero Japanese language skills.

Best regards,
Stan

I never studied Japanese either, but internet has inexhaustible resources.

Some information that might be of general interest:

The links on the ukiyo-e.org site are sometimes stale. For links to Waseda, you have to note the ID of the print and type in the page linked below.

Concerning Kabuki prints, the names of the actors are usually given in a cartouche, and often a smaller cartouche on the right of it gives his role. A big cartouche gives the title of the print.
