Subject:Old Chinese Scroll Calligraphy Painting (Please help decipher artist name(s) and script)
Posted By: Chris Thu, Sep 12, 2019 IP: 2600:1700:dab0:5110:

Hello,

I am trying to identify the artist and calligraphy in this old Chinese plum blossom scroll painting. there are three seals and some writing in the upper left as well that might be difficult to make out since it is somewhat faint. Being that I can only post three photos, I posted closeups of two of the seals. Can someone please help with this? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Seals,
北平榮寶斎製牋 - Peiping Rongbaozhai Made Paper
踣斎人 - Bōzhairen - Pseudonym -
幑 - Zhi - Approved
I think that these seals belong to the faint
(flawy) plum print. As the seal reveals that the print was made by the Beijing Rongbaozhai Art Publisher. The "Peiping" wording was used during the Republic period.

The calligraphy written on the flawy print is more less inconsistent. It contains phrase parts seemingly as brush trial.
The preultimate line (3rd.pic.) reads,
雪后煎茶 - After snow roasted tea
Title of a poem from Lu You (1125-1210)

With regards,
I.Nagy
