This looks like a fairly recent stencil and/or transfer-decorated Chinese ginger jar with a base-mark (shown upside-down), reading across Western style from the left and down in two lines as "China, Jiangxi". The decoration fails miserably to suggest late-19th and early 20th century jars with similar hand-painted "Double-Happiness" characters on a scrolling ground of sweet pea vines and flowers. Jars in the original pattern (picture below), without double-happiness characters, were exported by China to Overseas Chinese population centers in Southeast Asia.
