I suppose this is the front of your other post with the title "Plates in Satsuma Style stamped Made in Japan".
This is Kutani ware, not Satsuma. Real Satsuma is earthenware, this seems to be porcelain.

Thank you Martin, and sorry for the mix up with the posts.

I didn't know that satsuma didn't produce porcelain and only ever associated kutani with the heavy red painted wares, but my experience is very limited. Thank you for your time.
