Subject:Second old Chinese painting, looking for the painter.
Posted By: Monique Rosa Sat, Apr 13, 2019 IP: 2001:980:57ae:1:a59b

And i have this Chinese painting. It looks old, but less old than the previous one.
I removed it from the frame, to make better pictures.
Maybe someone can translate the sentence and knows the maker.
Thanks for your help.

一水漲喧人語外 萬山青到馬蹄前
The noise of rising waters are louder than human voices
The thousands of hills are green in front of the horseshoes
晴峯 - Qingféng (Clear peak) - Pseudonyom

In the largest Chinese artists ID dictionary there are 4 Qing dynasty artist listed with this pseudonym. In absence of dating and more readable seals it is not possible to determine your artist (Even if he is among the listed four artists)

With regards,
I.Nagy

What a poetic sentence: The noise of rising waters are louder than human voices, beautiful!

Is it possible to tell me the four Qing dynasty artists with this pseudonym? I like to compare the painters.

Thank you very much for the research and a very good day.

Monique

張衡 Zhang Heng 1860s
歐陽復旦 Quyang Fudan
闕嵐 Que Lan 1758-1844
包汝雲 Bao Ruyun
嚴錦 Yan Jin

It cannot be said - not by a long chalk - that the above list of Qing painters with Qinfeng pseudonym is complete.

Dear Mr. Nagy,

Thank you very much for the list of painters. I have looked at them all well and this painter is not among them.
If I look at the painting, It looks older, Ming dynasty or maybe even older.
The handwriting is also very characteristic, very nice and neat.
Do you also have a list of painters with the same psuedonym of the Ming, Yuan or Song dynasty? Then I can sort it out again.
Thank you very much for your help.

Monique
