Subject:Need Information on Chinese Painting
Posted By: George E Sun, Apr 07, 2019 IP: 24.47.161.110

It measures 13.5X16 inches. It seems to be painted on silk. By observation, it appears to be very old. Any information is greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
George E

Thank you rat. Riders Leading a White Horse is an appropriate name. Did the copier set out to replicate the original work. Mine appears to as old as the original.

I suppose you own a photocopy of the original. The creases are exactly the same, at the same areas. If you look at the creases in the man with the orange coat for example, you will notice the exact same crease pattern, creases made by aging. It seems impossible to me that two paintings would have the exact same creases, unless one of them is a photocopy. I doubt the Museum has a photocopy...

LOL you are probably right Stephane Jardonnet. Thanks for your keen observation.
