寒泉噴峭壁疊嶂
繞禅扉不見廬山
遠鐘聲落翠微
Cold spring gushes from the steep cliffs of rolling hills
The Lushan is not visible from behind the door of Zen hut
The sound of the distant bell descends with the blue mountain mist

辛卯八月冩鳥目山人作
Painted in August of the Year Metal-Rabbit (1891) by
Niaomu Shanren (Bird Eyed Hermit) - Pseudonym-
潁生姜筠 - Yingsheng (Courtesy name) Jiang Jun
Upper seal,
姜筠 - Jiang Jun
Lower seal,
潁生 - Yingsheng

Inscription of the mounting,
姜生翠微鐘聲圖立軸 - Jiang Jun, Blue Mountain Mist, Sound of Bell, Vertical Scroll

Jiang Jun 姜筠 1847-1919
Official in the Ministry of Rites and landscape painter of the late Qing dynasty.
