Subject:Chinese Scholar rocks?

Was hoping someone can tell me the origin age and if these are scholar rocks and if so what kind and if not what they actually may be. They have little objects like temples on them. I believe them to be Chinese but they may be from Japan. Was hoping one of the experts can fill me in.

I believe these are aquascaping rocks for aquarium use. They're often seen with small Asian-style buildings or temples to create the illusion of mountain scenes. A scholar's stone or rock usually possesses an inherent shape or pattern of grain suggestive of an identifiable Chinese mythical or religious icon; the dragon or a Buddha being examples. For anyone who has a well-scaped aquarium, rocks like yours probably help provide a similar focal point during meditative moments on the beauty of their fish.

Thank you as that makes perfect sense to me. I appreciate the help as I could not find any scholar rocks with any temples or man made realist aesthetics attached but did learn a lot about them trying.
