Your vase is in what's called the pear form (yuhuchunping) and a style associated with the Yuan Dynasty (1260-1368). The ones I've seen selling for large sums seem to have glazed bases, though a few with unglazed or partially glazed bottoms also occasionally make it off the auction block for significantly lower amounts. Also, the old ones drawing the bids seem to be taller, upwards of ten-eleven inches.

The lack of any visible signs of wear tends to suggest to me yours is a fairly recent product, but collectors instead of observers like me may have a different perspective on the vase and the market. I've included a range of auction results below for your info, and a couple of pictures of a vetted ten-inch repro I've kept around for years for comparison purposes. Its "unpretentious" bottom, without a hint of manufactured age, leaves no doubt that it is decorative. One of the links below shows a vase with a base much like yours from a no-sale auction.

Best regards,

Bill H.
