Hi,

I'm looking for any information on this painting. It is done on a masonite(?)panel with LARGE brush or perhaps knife palettes. The strokes are thick and all go straight up and down.

The woman looks Asian to me.

This painting was done in '64 but I can't make out the artists name. In the attached picture with the signed name I've sharpened the picture with software to try and get a better read on it but still cannot make it out. I keep thinking Pierce but I can't find anything on that name.

Does anyone know who painted this piece or familiar with the artist or style ? It's really very different.
