Subject:satsuma mark
Posted By: jay chatellier Sun, Jan 20, 2019 IP: 73.139.6.15 Can anyone confirm this is a work by Meizan and what the last character is. I read the mark as Dai Nippon/Satsuma ware/ Meizan ?, under the Shimazu clan crest. Any corrections also appreciated. thanks. |

Posted By: jay chatellier Tue, Jan 22, 2019 thank you for the information, this image of the vase was not attached to the 1st post for some reason. Thought it might help to identify the artist or would the mark just mean it was by one of the numerous artists working for in the Meizan workshop? thanks again, jay |
