I have this statue at my home, but i have know idea, what kind of material it could be.
You can not scratch it with a pin, it is very strong. Is it Bowenite or Jadiete? If you look with a microscoop, you see smaller darker green spots on some places.
De first picture is the normal color, a detail from the backside and the bottom.

Thanx for your help.

It does not sound like it is Bowenite. It could well be Jade, but to be sure, let an expert examine it, or get a specific gravity test..

Dear Ernest,

Thanks for your reply! Do you have any idea of the value of this statue if this is jadeite? It is 30cm high.
I would like to go to a testing centre but if the price will be very low, i have to think about is.

Thanks for your help,

Moon

Based on its color and large size, I do not believe this piece was made of jadeite. I believe it was probably made of xiu yu, a type of serpentine. I don't like the term bowenite, used for a type of serpentine that cannot be scratched. Unfortunately, there are quite a few of such stones exist and they look vastly different than each other. There is a very slim possibility that it can be made of nephrite but again with such large size, I do not think so. Thanks for sharing.
