Posted By: Super Tue, Feb 05, 2019 Based on its color and large size, I do not believe this piece was made of jadeite. I believe it was probably made of xiu yu, a type of serpentine. I don't like the term bowenite,used for a type of serpentine that cannot be scratched. Unfortunately, there are quite a few of such stones exist and they look vastly different than each other. There is a very slim possibility that it can be made of nephrite but again with such large size, I do not think so. Thanks for sharing. |
