Was wondering thoughts on how old this Buddha is. Any info like always is appreciated and happy holidays. Measures around 10" tall. Also during my research I have encountered many of these old statues with the square shape hole in the back is that for it to be mounted on a throne? Some I see stand upright that have it. Just learning and curious as I attempted to google the question but came up blank. T

Hello,

This is a Tao statue of one of their many Gods.
The hole in the back his made to contain a message written by the believer to normaly request good luck , good health etc.
The statue seems to be made in the early 20th.
The seal is put by the Chinese government of antiques and reliques to authorize it's exportation.
