Subject:Chinese Tea Caddy?
Posted By: shadyoak Sat, Dec 29, 2018 IP: 50.127.217.217 We are seeking to learn more about what appears to be a Chinese blue and white porcelain tea caddy. It has multi-sided pictorial drawings (all 4 sides - will post add;l photos in reply message). It is of very nice quality/craftmanship. Does anyone know what this item is, how it may have been used and/or any manufacturer/age/value information that can be shared? |

Posted By: Bill H Mon, Dec 31, 2018 I believe this probably is a late 20th century or subsequently made Chinese product. In my opinion, the figural style is quite naïve, reflecting a multigenerational gap between the artist who drew it and those trained by competent masters in traditional canons of such art. Only decorative value. |
