Hello, perhaps anyone can help? I should help to sell this ivory figure and i did not know about. Which way this art i can sell and how i get more about the artist sign and is there a market on internet? Perhaps here i get some answers? nice greatings Marco

Very nice ivory figure dating from 19/20th century.
There is a market but is limited. Where are you located/country?

The ivory figure was buyed in a auction house in London long time ago. I see this figure is fixed in the area of the fork. I am located on canary islands EU and help a old lady to sell the things.

I don't see any Schreger lines. This appears to be cast resin and not ivory. See the link below.

Oh there are no doubt this is a real okimono from meiji periode. Perhaps the photo was the problem you see not the lines. I take a new one and add it here. thx

Good pictures get good responses. I see the Schreger lines now. Agree it is ivory.

The pictures are very bright and we cannot tell if this is ivory or not. Ivory is outlawed for sale for the most part in the USA now. Some countries permit it.

So yes, when anyone make holiday in spain/canary islands or anybody knows who and will buy this figure - contact me. I sell this for round about 800 €! Have no paper for this it comes form a heritage....

By said weight not resin. If resin show me where the bubbles and other attributed to resin as outlined in the article?
Nicely formed if you think resin don't you think. I think you should have a closer look.
