The red seal-script mark on your vase is 雅çŽİ珍藏 in standard script, pronounced "Ya wan zhen cang" in mandarin and translatable as the "Precious Collection of Elegant Trinkets". In addition to finding some other Chinese porcelains with the same mark online (see link), I also saw the term used in Mainland China online discussions of what were called "new" and "nearly-new" Chinese porcelains in the "Qianjiang" or famille rose palette. The auction record at the link had what was described as a Republic-era pair of plates with this mark, having auction estimates of between 50,000 - 70,000 yuan/RMB (US$7,276.55 - 10,188.19).

While the plates shown at the link possibly could be from the late 1940's, I'm less certain of a date for your vase. I can't quite read the cursive signature that's written in the corner of the landscape panel on your vase. Perhaps I. Nagy or another expert can read that and help determine whether it is relevant or just a case of the painter copying the signature of a landscapist who is being emulated.

Best regards,

Bill H.
