For comparison only, here's a link and one of several photos of two other Asian Buddha images, including the 19th-early 20th century Shan type shown here. The Shan are ethnic Thais who live in and around northeastern Burma/Myanmar, where it borders Thailand and Laos, AKA the "Golden Triangle".
