Subject:Chinese carved jade??

Hi everyone,

I only received this from a friend as a picture, he thinks the carved statue is jade?
If you could tell tge age or any info it would be appreciated.

This looks like it is a softer stone than Jade

it's not jade
black jade is Very bright
