Subject:Re: Jiaqing marked porcelain plate - period?

I believe this dish may be a fairly contemporary Chinese product, circa mid-20th century or later, as its painting style and mark have substantial differences with what is seen on period pieces. According to "Allen's Antique Chinese Porcelain--The Detection of Fakes", in general, faux Jiaqing marks didn't appear until circa 1910. Also, in my experience, early Republic wares were usually high-quality.
