Posted By: Bill H Tue, Oct 16, 2018 The borders and theme of children playing look like some I've come to associate with gift sets of Chinese handiwork sold during the third quarter of the 20th century and later in stores and gift shops frequented by American personnel working or visiting Asian locales such as Taipei, Hong Kong and Bangkok. The central picture may be hand-embroidered, but the outer border is a standard machine-woven pattern used on such products at the time (and probably is still made). |
