Hi Robert,

This is a hare (sometimes called rabbit) and you can find them on Ming and Kangxi porcelain. A hare is a symbol of longevity and also part of the Chinese calender. My gues for a dating of your vase goes more to around 1900.

Chinese Kangxi period used plant, symbols and animals, including rabbit's. However, dating a piece is completely out of my realm.
