The painting title is 桐陰清署, "pure summer in the shade of a Wutong (paulownia) tree". The artist's inscription seems to read 靜怡寫於吳門獅林之聼雨樓, "inscribed/painted by Jingyi in the Hall for Listening to the Rain at Suzhou's Lion Grove (Garden)". The garden remains a popular tourist site, though I am not sure which building is referred to. The pen name the artist is using (靜怡) has been used by several Chinese painters, the most probable (as this seems neither a Ming painting by a female painter, nor by a Daoist priest) being someone with the actual name Shi Yanghao 施养浩, who was active in the 3rd quarter of the 18th century. However, existing pictures and calligraphy by Shi don't resemble this work closely. It's also possible that I have misread the character 怡 and the artist is therefore using a different pen name. Finally, I can't quite make out the seal on this picture, which likely contains another pen name that will help identify the artist. It is also possible (can't rule it out from the painting itself anyway) that the artist is Japanese. Hopefully others will chime in.

I agree with rat. To post only part of a painting for others to translate, is basically getting a translation service for free, good for the poster especially if he/she is a dealer who is selling the art work, but no fun for the translator whose time is also very precious. No pun intended Super
