Subject:Chinese Emperor Painting
Posted By: Will Mon, Sep 10, 2018 IP: 2003:e3:7f06:2b99:54

Hi,

some time ago I had purchased a bunch of paintings in a package deal and now I try to figure out what I have actually bought.

I assume that this painting is Chinese as the person is wearing the Mian Guan headdress.
I have not seen this attribute in Japanese paintings yet.

Well, can anyone figure out what the inscription says and who the painter might be judging from the seal?

Furthermore does anyone have a clue who this emperor could be? (I guess it could be an elder one from Song or earlier but this is more speculation than knowledge)

Thanks for your help

Inscription reads,
七十五叟震陵作寫 - Painted by the 75 Years Old
Zhen Ling
Zhen Ling (Thunder Mound) is the sobriquet of the artist.
I can't read the seals fully.

With regards,
I.Nagy
