Subject:trying to identify more information on okimono and maker
Posted By: Steven Pickman Thu, Jun 28, 2018 IP: 73.135.232.187

Hi,
I am an art conservator repairing an ivory okimono (definitely elephant) that was purchased in Japan between 1917 - 1922. The figure group is 10" height and among other interesting features includes "dutchman" repairs that I suspect were carried out by the artist. There is a seal on the underside that I am not sure what to make of and would love any assistance anyone could give.

Thanks,
Steven
