Subject:Satsuma teapot identify mark
Posted By: Pete Mon, May 14, 2018 IP: 2a02:c7d:4d74:2a00:4 Hi everyone, I just bought this teapot with gold mark to base, I have got Dai Nippon and the Shimazu crest centre left. I don't know the other marks on the left though. Can anyone help? many thanks in advance |

Posted By: TD Tue, May 15, 2018 The characters in the mark reads 大 曰 本 京 都 安 田 製 meaning “Dai Nippon/Nihon, Kyoto, Yasuda Sei. So it’s a Kyoto Satsuma tea pot circa late Meiji to Taisho period. |
