Posted By: Bill H Sat, Mar 10, 2018 Would appear to be a fairly recent figurine of a kowtowing child bearing a medallion with the Chinese wish of "Wan shi ru yi" (萬事如意), meaning "May all of your wishes come true." Such items generally appear in Chinese locales as decorations and gift-wares during holidays such as Chinese New Year. A child in this posture evokes a great deal of Confucian sentiment. |
