Subject:Porcelain plate. How old ?
Posted By: Golgatha Sun, Jan 28, 2018 IP: 87.60.72.184 This porcelain plate with blue underglaze Chinese pattern is probably not as old as it would like to look. Maybe it's an English William Adams Chinese pattern blue English pottery plate ? It's not signed. It's 24,5 cm in diameter and 3,5 cm high. So where does it come from and how old is it ? |

Posted By: Endre Mon, Jan 29, 2018 In my opinion, I think this is Japanese circa 1880s-1890s. I don’t think it is Adams, because it is not marked in any way. Maybe others may have more information about this particular pattern |

Posted By: Endre Wed, Jan 31, 2018 Your welcome. A little more info as far as Adams- there are five pages in a book I was viewing with the variations of marks and impressions, and it appears that most if not all have been clearly marked since the late 18th century. |
