Subject:Porcelain object Chinese Blue & White
Posted By: Niels Mon, Jan 29, 2018 IP: 193.173.39.19 Hi, I looking for information on the obect, which I believe is a candle holder. It looks old to me and I'd guess, I'd say 19th century. Any thoughts? |

Posted By: Brandon mccloskey Thu, Feb 01, 2018 I believe this is an altar stick. The cobalt under glaze looks to be a nice color and hand painted. The dragons have 4 talons done in the pinwheel style and I believe I see a faint rust ring on the foot under the edge of the glaze? I would conservatively say its mid Qing dynasty (could be a bit younger or older) . I'm not an expert in Chinese art though. |
