This is a typical Chinese seal.
A nicely hewn piggy serve as grip. On one of the sides a 猪 "Zhu" or Pig character is engraved with plant
motifs. Seemingly, into the face (bottom) the seal script itself was not cut (?) - so it can serve only as a paper weight.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Dear Nagy,

Once again many thanks for your detailed replies on all of my subjects so far. I greatly appreciate it.

And yes, you are right, the piggy seems to be only usable as paper weight as it has no seal script underneath (I am attaching the photo to prove you right).

However, if someone knows, I would love to know a bit more about it...what type of rock it was made of, where and when.

THNX NAGY, again and again and again...

Best regards to all of you good people,

StefanM
