Dear David

Are you sure these are Japanese?

Kind regards

Judging by the pattern and marks, which I can't read with certainty, these probably are early Chinese dishes in a rudimentary lotus scroll pattern. They could date from the late Ming-to Qing Kangxi reign "Transitional Period" through the early 19th century. From my catalog, here are some of the latter, usually called "Kitchen Qing wares" in better defined versions of the pattern.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Why do you think these are Arita (Japanese) when they appear to be classic late Qing dynasty so-called 'Kitchen Qing' dishes? The Marks are simulated reign marks and very common in late Qing items for the general public.
