Subject:Credible Auction houses in Japan, China
Posted By: Maria Gregg Sun, Oct 29, 2017 IP: 2601:845:c100:51e0:3

Hello,
I'm sorry I haven't been able to post any pictures of some of the jades I had questions to. I was just wondering, though, could anyone maybe give me some credible auction houses in Japan, and China??? Maybe I can send some pictures to their site to see if they can help authenticate a couple of my jades(if jade). I'm interested in selling only if they are real. Sotheby's told me they couldn't sell if I didn't have proof of provenance. Chait Auctioneer's said my jades were too complicated to authenticate and to try some in Japan or China. Any help would be appreciated, thank you, Maria

What kind of jades do you have. Archaic or post-archaic jades? The one you posted on this board looks very much like a low quality modern fake to me.

Dear Ernest, thank you for your reply, I think they are archaic, supposedly, when I bought these I didn't know what to look for, I just thought they looked real, but I have absolutely no experience, that's why I'm here to learn and I would really appreciate some good advice. I was only able to post one picture because I'm obviously not computer literate, thanks you, Maria

Question. . . roughly, were are you located. Maybe you have a Jade specialist in your area.

Hello Corey, no I didn't leave the building, it just took me awhile to finally check any messages on this site. I didn't come here to be deceptive, only to learn, please go easy on me, I have no idea what I'm doing, thank you, Maria

Hello, again, Ernest, I live here in the united states in the state of tennessee. I got in touch with Sothoby's, Christies, Chait Auction house, Penny and Pig auction house and all of them have either said they were to complicated to authenticate because there were so many fakes out there or that they didn't specialize specifically in archaic jades and always referred me to another auction house. Chait auction house is the one that recommended I try some auction houses in either china or japan, so I didn't have a clue which one might be reputable.
