Posted By: rat Sun, Nov 05, 2017 Yes, this is a painting by a Jesuit priest named Guiseppe Castiglione, who was a favorite of the Qianlong emperor for his paintings fusing western realism with Chinese subjects. The original is in the National Palace Museum, Taiwan. Your picture was probably sold in the museum shop. I can't see the other seals in your image clearly, but the photograph of the painting below suggests that most of them are other Qianlong seals, both the emperor's and his painting inventory seals. |
