Subject:wax for laquer finish?
Posted By: Denise Mon, Oct 30, 2017 IP: 73.85.141.127

Hi, recently acquired a large three piece screen, and the stonework is in great shape. However, the finish on the black laquer has some uneven finish shine. Would love to wax this piece, but not sure what wax would be safe, and not damage the laquer finish. I believe this piece dates to mid twentieth century, there is a metal tag on the back that is in English and Chinese and says "made in Tianjin China

is there a safe wax to use? would prefer a natural wax? I'm in Florida, is there anyone local that could provide this as a service?
