My tentative reading of the rather cursive signature,
江名要 Jiang Mingyao
Reading of the seal,
霊飛軒 Ling Fei Xuan (Ling Fei Study)
Art-name of painter
Ling Fei is a Taoist calligraphic model excercise method from the Tang Dynasty.
This indicates that the seal possibly belong(ed)s to a painter-calligrapher.

I.Nagy

Thank you for your post. Do you know how old this piece might be and the value?

Hi Lois,

The name of the painter is not on the lists compiled by galleries (incl.Chinese and Japanese)
from whom they are looking to buy pictures.
There are no hits on Chinese language search engines either. So, the painter is probably one of the few thousend painters who have beeen active in China.
On the picture I can see only a corner of your
watercolor - so even I can't tell anyything about its artistic value.
With regards,
I.Nagy
