Subject:Chinese or Japanese Rice Pot?
Posted By: Karl Thu, Aug 31, 2017 IP: 2601:5cb:4400:b85:cf

I really need some help in obtaining information about this rice pot/container. Can anyone in this forum give me a clue as to how old it is and from what chinese era it belongs to. There is writing on the bottom so if anyone can translate it for me I'd be very appreciative. Thanks everyone

Inscription reads,
乙丑年置 Installed(Bought) in Wood Buffalo Year
(...1865,1925..cyclical dates which are repeated every 60th years)
中和堂 Zhong He Tang (Name of shop)
沈葆記 Shen Bao Mark
李春吉 立 Establ. by Li Shun Ji
Judging from the form and condition of the pot
it should have been made in 1925.
With regards,
