Subject:17th C. Chinese painting?
Posted By: Noodle Thu, Jul 27, 2017 IP: 24.218.243.164 Hi! I am trying to learn more about a family painting my Chinese mother owns. It seems to be from the 17th C., but I am no expert. I have attached a picture of the piece--which is fairly large and on a silk tapestry--and a closer image of the signature and seals (?). Can anyone here provide more information on the provinence and what is depicted? This painting is part my family's heritage and has been handed down for generations. Yet I have no real understanding of its significance. |
