Subject:Reverse Glass Arhat Painting

I'm very interested to know the story in this piece. I am assuming it is several Luohan. Is this just an imaginative picture or based on a known story?
Also I'm guessing it's export from around 1900...please correct me if I'm wrong.
The total size is 27 by 34.

At least a few of them appear to be from the group known as the "Eight Immortals", especially those standing on the clouds. Wikipedia is a good spot to I.D. Arhats and Immortals alike. Circa 1900 or a bit later sounds like a safe call.

Great thank you. So this is the battle with the Dragon king of the eastern sea. I will have to familiarize myself with these tales.
