Subject:ID Asian Foot Bath
Posted By: Lisa Maier Mon, May 15, 2017 IP: 172.56.42.35

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me ID this Chinese Foot Bath mark. I am curious what the date may be, what the mark means and if it has any value. I have seen similar designs but don't know how to tell the age. It is approximately 22" x 14". Thank you!

The mark on your late 20th century foot bath reads down and across from the right as "Made for/by the Hall of Eternal Victory" (Yong sheng tang zhi - 永勝堂製). This would appear to be the Yongsheng (Eternal Victory) Ornamented Porcelain Factory in Hong Kong. Query the name in the forum search feature for the earlier threads

Best regards,

Bill H.

I have a vase with the same mark, and originally a sticker saying, "Made in the Peoples Republic of China".
IT could be porcelain of the 1950’.
For reference, you can look at the Gotheborg site: http://gotheborg.com/marks/20thcenturychina.shtml#yongtang

Best Regards,
Adriano
