Subject:Japanese set of porcelain
Posted By: Cimage Sun, May 07, 2017 IP: 109.141.20.108

Greetings,

I bought this set of porcelain. I know it's japanese, i could read the 3 first characters "dai nihon". Maybe the fourth it's Kyoto?... But I can't read the rest and I dont seem to find any match on the internet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The 3 pieces are marked. I chose the mark that seems the most readable for the photo.

Dai Nihon 大日本 Tokyo 東京 Kin-ryu-??? 錦-龍-??? Sei 製 (Made by Kinryu???) and then I'm lost. Even not 100% sure about the Kinryu part.
Regards,
Martin.

Yes, the first line is Great Japan, Kyoto.

The second line is written in a rather florid style, but I think it reads:
"Made in the Brocade Dragon Studio" or something along those lines.

錦龍軒製

I think the first character the last line is 壽 but that's far as I have gone.

Much obliged Martin and Mikeoz.

I'll search along the lines you indicate...

Hereby the two other photos of marks.

I agree with Mikeoz about the 2nd line:
"Made in the Brocade Dragon Studio" or something like that.
錦龍軒製 = Kin Ryu Ken Sei (On-reading).

I disagree with MIkeoz that the 1st line says Kyoto (京都 or 亰都). It's Tokyo 東京.

The 3rd line is unreadable for me.

Regards,
Martin.
