Subject:Bronze Vase
Posted By: Eric Thu, Apr 13, 2017 IP: 74.101.243.9 Can anyone tell me if this appears to be legitimate? If not can someone point me in the right direction to get it appraised? I acquired it from my grandparents estate. Thnaks |

Posted By: Guy Sun, Apr 23, 2017 The (false) Chinese reign mark reads 大明宣德年制 (Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi' or 'Made during the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty') but I think that this bronze vase with decoration in champlevé was made in Japan for export during the Meiji period (late 19th century). |
