Subject:Bronze incense censer... age?
Posted By: Mike J. Mon, Mar 27, 2017 IP: 188.183.1.115

Hello,

I found this bronze incense censer on a Danish fleamarket last year. Could someone give me an age estimate and/or perhaps help me with the translation of the mark on the underside?

Thanks in advance!

claims to be Ming (Xuande reign), but this is modern imitation. also Chinese bronzes are normally left unpolished to acquire a patina through use and aging.
