I recently ran across a 2012 post on these drums. I was in Laos living in Ban Houie Sai. I have three class three drums and would like to discuss them with others.

John, I presume the posting at the link below is the one you ran across. If so, you already have the extent of my findings and recollections about such drums. I bought mine in Burma in the 80's, but they're identical to what I saw in Laos in the early 70's.

You might do well to post pictures here of your drums along with specific questions, in case other new and old participants can provide additional salient information.
