Posted By: rat Mon, Feb 06, 2017 the seals are all imitations of seals that are associated with imperial Qing artwork. One is labeled Guyuexuan 古月轩, a mark that appeared on top quality enameled porcelains, another includes Lang Shining 郎世宁, the Chinese name of Jesuit priest and painter Giuseppe Castiglione, who worked at court for the Qianlong emperor, the subject of the third seal 乾隆 (http://diglweb.zjlib.cn:8081/zjtsg/zgjcj/cypicxl.jsp?searchword=%C3%FB%C8%CB%B1%E0%BA%C5%3D1049&channelid=91700&record=16). |
