The official gifts on the occasion of the Nixon visit in 1972 were a pair of pandas from Mao Zedong to the USA and a two musk oxen from Nixon to the Chinese.
Lesser ranking members of the Nixon delegation might have swapped gifts with their counterparts too, but any official American recipients would have been required by law to report them and, I believe, to surrender any items that exceeded the value limitation imposed by the same statute.
