Enameled porcelain cup originally described as Japanese by the previous owner but perhaps more likely a Chinese production. Any assistance with the translation of the mark would be much appreciated!

Found this Jiajing period auspicious mark on the gotheborg.com website:

The character in the lower right corner matches the character in the same position of the mark on my cup, meaning I'm probably right in my assumption that the cup is Chinese rather than Japanese. The style of the decoration also fits with the Jiajing period

The characters are not the same.

On your bowl (which we have not seen so can't comment further) the character on the right hand side (Two character seal) is 賀 pronounced He and means congratulations.

The bottom right character of the other mark (four character seal) is 貴 pronounced Gui and means noble or expensive.
