Subject:unkown stamp /raku bowl
Posted By: Unkown stamp /raku bowl/Sekishun stamp on box Thu, Jan 19, 2017 IP: 93.172.131.242

Hi guys, I've just bought this very nice black raku bowl (I like it very much, I am new to japanese tea things)but I don't understand: the stamp on the bowl does not match any of the 2 stamps of the box (one is kato sekishun stamp and the other one is a raku stamp). Is this something commonely done? Maybe the bowl and the box don't match? Any hint is wellcome!Thx!

Hi,

The mark on your bowl is the Japanese Kanji character for the word Raku: 樂.
See photo with more examples.
Regards,
Martin.
