Subject:Japanese or Chinese Antler Bone Seal

I would appreciate anyone who could give me some advice as to the origin of the seal and its meaning.It is approx 3 inches tall.

Dear David,

I'm afraid I think this is a beautiful but fantasy piece. The printing face of the 'seal' appear to read Fang 仿 and variations of the character. Fang means "a copy" or "in the style of ..."

This does not detract from the skilful carving. Enjoy it for itself.

Agree, but it has already been posted online for sale at $3,500....
