Posted By: Thu, Oct 29, 2009 IP: 81.154.224.92

Dear forum
Please have a look and advise this dish is real or fake
It is 16.5cm wide, when flicked it makes a dull sound,it is very light and thin, the glaze is of greish/blueish white with fine crackles
Many thanks in advance

Looks O.K visually to me. Late Song (960 to 1279AD) or maybe Yuan dynasty (1279 to 1368AD) yingqing (qingbai) glaze. The older texts may refer to this glaze as Ying Ching or Ching Pai.

This looks like a Song qingbai bowl.

I would say this an an authentic Song/Yuan double fish Qingbai bowl. Nice one and even has some remanants of the metal rim.
